Our Beliefs

We are a church whose teachings are based upon the Holy Scriptures and the established doctrines of the Christian faith  Our beliefs can be summed up in the following manner:

1) We believe that the Holy Bible is the word of the living God. It is sufficient to explain the way of salvation. The Scriptures were given to men and directed to write them under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures are without error and are powerful in that they change lives when read.

2) We believe that there is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is loving, compassionate, all-powerful, eternal, outside time, space, and matter, the Creator of all things, excluding sin, and is the Author of Salvation. He directs the lives of people and keeps everything going with just His word and power. He chose to redeem many by the plan of salvation through His Son, which was conceived before the foundation of the world.

3) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and of His chosen people. He is God in the flesh and came to Earth to live and work among us. He lived a sinless life and kept all the Commandments of God. He took upon Himself the sins of His people upon the cross after suffering a terrible beating and mockery at the hands of His enemies. He rose again on the third day just as He predicted and His death was the sufficient payment for our iniquities towards God. He made it possible for people to have a realtionship with God. He will return one day to put an end to all sin and rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

4) We believe that the Holy Spirit of God is the Author of Scripture and our teacher in how to live a righteous life. He convicts men of sin and draws them to the Father. He is present here on Earth guiding believers in their walk with the Father. He participated in the creation of the universe and was present with great men and women of the Scriptures as they did great things for God. He instills gifts in us to use for the glory of God.

5) We believe that man was originally made without sin and lived a life in communion with God in Eden according to Genesis. He listened to the words of the enemy, Satan, and fell into sin, seperated from God, and can only be reconciled to God by accepting the finished work of redemption by the Lord Jesus Christ. He is not a product of random chance or evolution and is instead precious to God and has meaning and purpose. We will be made pure and holy at the Second Coming of Christ when He makes all things new.

6) We believe that one day not too far in the future that the trumpets of heaven will sound and we who are in Christ, living and dead, will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and go to heaven with Him. The world will undergo seven years of tribulation under the direction of Satan's man, the Antichrist and his assistant the False Prophet. At the end of the seven year tribulation, Jesus will return to Earth, get rid of evil, and establish a 1000 year reign on Earth which will be a period of peace and prosperity and will lead into the eternal state, where we will be with Him for all time.

7) We beiieve that the church is Jesus' representative on Earth and that we need to behave as He did, helping people and drawing them to the Lord. The church is made up of people with faults, but try to live a life that is pleasing to God and is of a good influence upon people and nations. The church is a place where all people, regardless of background, are welcomed and loved.

8) We believe that all who reject the free offer of salvation in Jesus Christ will go to a horrible place called hell. If you end up there, it is forever with no hope, no love, no mercy, no second chance, no compassion, and no way of reconciling yourself to the LORD. Your company there will be the wicked of all time, the devil, and his demons. Please accept the offer of salvation now. Go to the "Salvation" page and read what is needed to be done to secure eternal life in Jesus Christ.

9) We believe that God created the institution of marriage to be between a biological man and biological woman united in Christ and married for life.. The belief in same sex marriage and relationships is a violation of God's standards and Holy Scripture. We believe that those in the homosexual lifestyle can be transformed by the saving power of Jesus Christ and that they need our love and prayers.

10) We believe that evangelism is the lifeblood of a growing and healthy church. We strive to share our faith with visitors and the community as taught by our Lord Jesus in Mark 16:15 and Mathew 28:19-20. Everybody should be able to tell their story of how the Lord Jesus changed their lives.
